Art of the Table is an afternoon of creative table displays by Indy’s best event designers and florists. This event was developed to raise money for education and scholarships for wedding professionals in Indiana. This event also honors one of its own, Betty Jackson, who died very early in her career and is organized by the Association of Bridal Consultants – Indiana Chapter. Snappening is a proud supporter and sponsor of Art of the Table and brings you a personalized blog series each year covering some of the “can’t miss” touches from each design.

Art of the Table 2013 was held at the NCAA Conference Center. The designers and florists continue to impress, and 2013 was no exception. Each table encompassed the unique style of our numerous professional Indianapolis event designers and florists. Tables were decorated with an assortment of elaborate themes and elements—ranging from seaside fun to elegant NYE inspiration. Let’s dig into Part 1 of our special Art of the Table blog series!
Memorial Table: Easter Brunch with Betty
We adored the tulips gracefully placed in this multi-tiered vase.  The spring color palette, coupled with the mini eggs topped off the design and theme perfectly.

Table 1: Wish Upon a Wedding
We love a table with a color theme, and this table covered its Wish Upon a Wedding color theme beautifully. The linen and floral design really captured the look and feel of the organization, and the adorable table number was a perfect finishing touch.

Table 2: “Auld Lang Syne” New Year’s Eve Wedding
Who doesn’t love idea of a New Year’s Eve wedding? The show stopper at this table was clearly the centerpiece, surrounded by a lovely bejeweled vase and floral design. The strong and unified silver, grey and gold color scheme carried the design through and was a perfect backdrop to the Parisian-themed favors.

Table 3: Love Letters
If you’re into history, writing or prose, this table’s for you! The table runner really set the tone for this delightful retreat from the ordinary and was complemented by gorgeous Lilly of the Valley table setting cones. The menu place cards and centerpiece added visual stimulation, as well as additional reading material, having been designed after a folded book.

The strong use of of pinks and peaches dominated this design and were enhanced by a gorgeous sequined table linen. Mirrored vessels for the florals added pop, and chair linens completed the look. We really enjoyed the table numbers!

Table 5: An Ombre of Grey
Nothing captures the eye more than a beautiful display of roses – and Table 5 had our attention! The grey ombre design was coordinated with delicate place cards, bejeweled napkin rings and mirrored table lamps. We were in love with the special side service additions for the salt and pepper shakers!
