Art of the Table is an afternoon of creative table displays by Indy’s best event designers and florists. This event was developed to raise money for education and scholarships for wedding professionals in Indiana. This event also honors one of its own, Betty Jackson, who died very early in her career and is organized by the Association of Bridal Consultants – Indiana Chapter. Snappening is a proud supporter and sponsor of Art of the Table and brings you a personalized blog series each year covering some of the “can’t miss” touches from each design. Part 1 and Part 2 of our series left our readers wanting more, and now we’re back diving in even deeper with Part 3!

Art of the Table 2013 was held at the NCAA Conference Center. The designers and florists continue to impress, and 2013 was no exception. Each table encompassed the unique style of our numerous professional Indianapolis event designers and florists. Tables were decorated with an assortment of elaborate themes and elements—ranging from seaside fun to elegant NYE inspiration.
Table 11: An Evening with Grandeur & Flourish
We’re big fans of Nikki Pulfer’s creative invitation and paperie work via Pomp & Polish, so it makes perfect sense that she’d develop her tablescape to focus on just that—an elaborate invitation tower. Brides looking for fun inspiration for their invitation suite will dig this design! Note the creative presents at each seat.

Table 12: Special Occasion for the Young at Heart
The use of dramatic, yet fun, primary colors in this table design conveyed all things party! The hot air balloon ride in the middle warmed our hearts, and we loved the fire truck addition. With just the right amount of fun, design and florals, Adriene’s Flowers did a nice job of creating an entertainment vision that could meet any budget.

Table 13: Captiva Blue
A big seaside salute to our client partners at Mon Amie Events for this year’s ABC Member Table of the Year. Owner and designer Monica Richard wowed the crowd with elaborate decor, that almost helped you feel the ocean breeze. Some of our favorite elements included a lamp side chair, the shell table number frame and the passport-themed place cards. We had our eyes on these guest bags as well.

Table 14: Fancy Romance
This head table glorified passion and romance.  Snappening partner Boldly Chic Events took home both the People’s Choice Award and Best Wedding Table Award and we can see why! Key table touches included an elaborate draping floral design and custom laser paperie

Table 15: A Sophisticated 50th Anniversary Gala
This 50th anniversary celebratory design pops with color thanks to a dramatic cake centerpiece and impressive eggplant and coral themed coordinates! All set next to the deep, rich gold textures one might expect to honor the couple enjoying this momentous occasion, the designer added something extra “sweet” by offering up samplings of her almond pound cake.
