Art of the Table is an afternoon of creative table displays by Indy’s best event designers and florists. This event was developed to raise money for education and scholarships for wedding professionals in Indiana. This event also honors one of its own, Betty Jackson, who died very early in her career and is organized by the Association of Bridal Consultants – Indiana Chapter. Snappening is a proud supporter and sponsor of Art of the Table and brings you a personalized blog series each year covering some of the “can’t miss” touches from each design. Part 1, Part 2, Part 3 and Part 4 of our series covered beautiful tables for everything from weddings to Easter brunches. Part 5 is finally here to round out the fantastically designed tables of the 2013 event.

Art of the Table 2013 was held at the NCAA Conference Center. The designers and florists continue to impress our team each year. Each table encompassed the unique style of our numerous professional Indianapolis event planners and florists. Tables were decorated with an assortment of elaborate themes and elements—ranging from chirping birds to the Kentucky Derby.

Table 21: Grand Opulence
There’s nothing plain about this table! The suspended centerpiece with jewels hanging down is the dramatic focal point of this New York City Library-inspired design. The shiny chevron table runner and the bold black linens add contrast against pink and ivory florals. Social Butterfly’s table is grand, romantic and perfect for a city-inspired wedding!

Table 22: Pinspiration Weddings!
Pin, repin, like, repin, repin. Pinterest is a great source of wedding design inspiration, but it can cause too many duplicates! Lily lane flowers & events show brides how to take one image from Pinterest and use it design the wedding of your dreams (and not anyone else’s)! This table demonstrates the original inspiration image from Pinterest and how it is transformed into this elegant black and white display. Trying to decide if you should use Pinterest to plan your own wedding? We wrote an entire blog on the topic here.

Table 23: Romantic Summer Brunch
You won’t feel blue after sitting at this table! We can barely take our eyes off the beautiful blue fabrics of the chairs and bench! Adding to that summery fun feel are unique floral elements and a suspended centerpiece. The beautiful flowers, blue candles and china plates make us wish that we could go to a summer brunch every day! Of course we weren’t the only ones to love this table. It won Best Social Table!

Table 24: Song Birds
Chirp Chirp, Tweet Tweet! The gorgeous, bright fabrics around the chairs build excitement for what this table has to offer. The delicate little song birds that are holding note cards and the bold colors make us want to sing! One of our favorite elements is the unique use of bird cages. Nothing’s cuter than the “Chirp” muffin display!

Table 25: Married Mares Bachelorette Weekend
Get your big hats ready! Every lady would be ready for a good time after seeing this Kentucky Derby-themed bachelorette party! We love the individual Jim Beam bottles at each place setting, but our favorite elements are the cute little horseshoes. The hat centerpiece is eye-catching and interesting. Don’t forget the “winning” ribbons on each chair for the members of the bridal party.
