Art of the Table is an afternoon of creative table displays by Indy’s best event designers and florists. This event was developed to raise money for education and scholarships for wedding professionals in Indiana. This event also honors one of its own, Betty Jackson, to whom died very early in her career to cancer.
The Art of the Table event was a huge success this year. The designers and florists continue to impress, and 2012 was no exception. Each table encompassed the unique style of every Indianapolis event designer and florist. Tables were decorated with an assortment of elaborate themes and elements—ranging from delicious treats and hanging chandeliers, all the way to live baby chicks.
Wish upon a Wedding is the official charity of ABC (Association of Bridal Consultants) and is honored every year. Couples facing a life-threatening illness can receive a wedding for up to fifty of their family and friends. This French-inspired table was filled with tall elegant Eiffel towers and french postcards. The classic wedding white table linen looked as if it was taken directly from a bride’s gown. The pearl name tags and white wedding cake added the perfect final touches!
This very girly table radiated colors of pink, yellow and green. Some of our favorite touches were the quaint pink candle lamps and the elegant black beading weaved throughout the floral centerpiece. Placed on each chair was a very creative fan menu card to add to the outdoor romantic garden feel of the table.
Table 3: Romantic Wedding
The color combination of reds, golds and yellows for this table immediately caught our eye. Their huge multi-flower centerpiece, made of roses, carnations and lilies that were accented with a gold flair weaved throughout the flowers, drew the room’s attention to this lavish design. The table conveyed a very royal feel with touches of gold from their glasses, appetizer forks and plates.
Table 4: Creating Couture
This table, voted Best ABC Member Table, radiated with elegance and class. Their three-tier carnation beauty centerpiece displayed shades of pinks and oranges. The tall silver candlesticks helped keep the lavish setting alive. The name tags were held by stylish candle holders filled with diminutive orange roses. We loved the luxurious laser cut menus and place cards.
Table 5: Love is in the Air
Butterflies were the theme for this fun spring wedding table. Shades of greens and pinks covered the table. Elaborate purple butterflies accented each chair. Butterfly candy dishes with mini spoons were also a great touch. Our favorite aspect of this table was the tall centerpiece draped with hanging beads that was placed upon a glass platform with a spiraling gem arrangement.
Table 6: Champagne and Roses Wedding
This table had a more relaxed and elegant feel with a champagne and blush color scheme. The table was covered with a lace table-cloth and accented with pink and white roses. We loved the earthy garden centerpiece which displayed hanging flowers in chic candle holders. The rolled pink favor was another crowd pleaser!
Table 7: City Sophisticated Wedding Table
Voted Best Wedding Table, this display captured a modern bold style like no other. Their chandelier form made the table a favorite of many. The distressed gold table runner with the etched wine glasses offered a very chic and elegant feel. We loved the bold white flowers, little pails of yellow jelly beans and the bright yellow chairs that added pop. This designer even took it a step further and coordinated her outfit with a gray dress and yellow belt to match the color scheme of the table. Talk about commitment!
