There are plenty of restaurant options in Indianapolis, but it can be hard to find the right one if you don’t know where to look. To help aid you in your search for a private dining venue, we have created a list of restaurant venues and categorized them by menu selections. Whether you are looking for steaks and seafood, pasta and pizza or you need a place that offers something a little different for everyone in your group, we have a great list of perfect venues for you.
If you’re looking for a steakhouse:
You can find quite a few amazing steakhouse options in downtown Indianapolis, but two of our favorites are the Capital Grille at Conrad Indianapolis and St Elmo Steak House. The Capital Grille offers a relaxed, but elegant dining experience with top-of-the-line steaks, lobster and an extensive award-winning list of wines. A private dining experience at St Elmo Steak House is just as incredible. St Elmo is the oldest steakhouse in Indianapolis in its original location and has developed a reputation for providing exceptional steaks, seafood and service.
If you’re looking for authentic Italian:
Founded by Gino Pizzi, an Italian-born restaurateur, Ambrosia perfectly captures the Italian dining experience and is quietly nestled in the heart of Broad Ripple Village—in and of itself someone of a local’s favorite secret. The staff is dedicated to providing not only authentic food, but an environment where you can eat, drink and have quiet conversations. If Italian is what you want, but you’re not up north, consider a trip downtown to Lorenzo’s Ristorante. Proprietor, Geoffrey Browning, has created the restaurant to evoke the feeling of classic Old-World Italy. You can enjoy amazing Italian dishes in a warm, quaint environment and have your choice of private or semi-private dining room options.
If you’re looking for variety:
You may often find yourself with a group of people, whether it be your family, friends or colleagues, who all want something different for dinner. Don’t worry. Indianapolis has multiple restaurants that are designed to solve your problem. Mesh on Mass Avenueoffers a private dining room and an extensive menu, or if you’d like to create an original menu, the staff will assist you. You can also find the Park View Banquet Room (located above Elbow Room Pub) and enjoy the beautiful view of downtown Indianapolis. Or, head to the heart of downtown to enjoy great food and handcrafted beer at Rock Bottom Restaurant & Brewery. One more downtown option is Harry & Izzy’s where you find unique prohibition-era décor and a variety of delicious foods on the menu. If you’re on the north side, consider Binkley’s Kitchen and Bar for full food and beverage service for your private event.
There are clearly multiple options for you to consider when looking for a private venue in Indianapolis. One of these incredible spots is sure to be the perfect place for any private dining experience you’re planning. A lot of details go into planning a private event, but remember you do not have to plan alone.
