What Inspires us Most About This Rustic Rose Gold Wedding?

We’re falling in love in today’s Snappening Lovin’ Local blog because who doesn’t love an autumn wedding? Today’s story features the historic Dorchester Plantation from the 1800’s that’s been transformed into an elegant wedding chapel. This rural Texas venue provided the perfect backdrop for this rustic rose gold wedding shoot.

The golden fall hues combined with the sparkle of the rose gold set a romantic, captivating scene. This styled shoot was captured by Meli Kerr of Meli Kerr Photography who was inspired to create a rustic rose gold wedding that would be memorable. The day wouldn’t have been as picture-perfect if it weren’t for a team of incredible vendors, including the crew at Enchanted Creek in Denison, Tx. Real-life couple Rachel and Lucas are close friends of Meli and made the day even more special with their laughs and undeniable chemistry. These love birds have actually been married since May 2015, but they were kind enough to recreate the special magic a wedding offers for this intimate setup.

With the help of Meli and wedding planners from J. Scott Events, we’ll give you the inside scoop on how their vision came to life so that you can plan your own rustic rose gold wedding.

Darling Table Settings

A little glitter is a girl’s best friend and these tablescapes were nothing short of the charming rustic rose gold theme that Meli envisioned. From the seating chart to the table settings, it was both elegant and simple.

The rose gold sequin table linen was provided by AM Linens in Dallas, Tx. and placed the focus on the cake table.  The custom three-tier cake was made by Sweet Somethings by Ashleigh in Caddo Mills, Tx. just outside of Dallas.

The guests’ tables were also eye-catching with these unique centerpieces provided by Gold Dust Vintage and KatieBug Florals. Choosing a centerpiece for your big day can be an overwhelming task, but there are a ton of wedding centerpiece ideas ranging from simple to elegant that may be a perfect fit for your vision.

The silverware had branch-style handles to tie in nicely with the centerpieces. The plates and silverware were provided by planner Jessica of J.Scott Events and were purchased from Pier 1 Imports. The plate’s mauve accents contrast against the light-pink tablecloth and coordinates wonderfully with the fall season. Meli described her stylistic choices as “distinctive because it combines the bright light, but also true and rich colors,” making the props and color palette come together perfectly.

This rustic rose gold wedding encompasses the country atmosphere, so if you’re interested in creating the same ambiance for your own wedding, consider choosing décor that fits the same theme.  The vintage window frame that was repurposed for the seating chart was provided by Gold Dust Vintage. Creating your own window frame decoration is a great DIY project with loads of possibilities.

Fall Florals and Lace Detail

It was all about autumnal shades in this gorgeous bouquet provided by KatieBug Florals. The bouquet features roses, spray roses, dahlias and astilbe.

Rachel’s dress adds a vintage charm with its lace detail and cap sleeves. The dress was provided by The Bridal Shoppe of Wylie.

When we spoke to Meli, she revealed that this shoot was a unique day for her because Lucas and Rachel are very close, personal friends of hers. Rachel wore jewelry that was gifted to her by Lucas’ family in China. Because Lucas’ family was unable to make it to their actual wedding in 2015, the styled shoot offered a special way to connect globally and allow them to be a part of this special (recreated) day in spirit.

Elegant Rose Gold Wedding Invites

There is something dreamy about autumn weddings with the turning leaves—combining the natural hues of reds with the elegance of rose gold—creating a result that’s nothing short of breathtaking.

The handwritten invitations brought a personal touch and rustic elegance to the styled shoot. The invitations were designed by Brown Fox Creative. The floral accents and fall hues tie into the rustic rose gold theme while also accenting the handwriting with pink tones.

The personalized menus mimic the invitations and bring elegance to the dinner table along with the name cards.

Chic meets Country

Having a rustic rose gold wedding can be wonderful, but decorating can be a challenge—especially when you’re wanting to add some feminine and chic accents to your big day.

The ceremony took place at the church on the property at Enchanted Creek with its beautiful altar and stained-glass windows. It’s small and intimate atmosphere was the perfect place to say their vows (again) with family and friends.

We’ve fallen head over heels for the vintage décor used in this rustic rose gold wedding shoot that combined both chic and country feels in this beautiful reception barn.

It’s tempting to focus all your attention on centerpieces and the tables, but don’t forget to look up! If you’re looking to jazz up your venue, consider dangling string lights and glass orbs to create twinkling lights and a golden atmosphere. It’ll make you feel like you’re under the starry sky.

Pretty Little Details

Don’t sweat over the small stuff on your big day. Every little detail will come together beautifully.

This pink velvet ring box was provided by The Family Joolz and ties in perfectly with the florals and the rose gold color scheme. Bride Rachel provided her own ring and jewelry for this shoot.

Lucas even added a little pizzazz to his suit with custom cufflinks with their wedding date, initials and a personal message. The cufflinks were provided by Over the Moon Bridal.

The bride’s look came together with gorgeous hair and makeup by Jessica Lea Beauty.
