Halloween isn’t just for kids anymore! Who said theme parties were out of style past the age of 22? With the help of Annie O’s event planning, we’ve put together a to die for gothic dinner party!

Complete with grays, blacks and silvers, décor should be clean and simple. Sophisticated yet dark touches will allow guests to get into the Halloween spirit. Use china and glassware to keep this party classic and provide that old-world feel. Consider using the following items to play up the gothic ambiance: ravens, moss, iron bird cages, painted styrofoam skulls, chains, silver teeth placeholders and candelabras.
The atmosphere should appear dark and ghost-like, so forget about pre-made plastic decorations. Turn off all electric lights in favor of candles, which create a more mysterious mood. If you have an old chandelier, be sure to use it. Adhere fake spiderwebs in corners, but be sure not to place them too close to the candles. Play gothic rock music, preferably peppered with light vocals, drum machines and any weird, whiny noises.
Get creative with the food and drink served by utilizing gothic-esque menu titles. Think, death by chocolate, yummy mummy cheese spreadand green slimed popcorn. As for cocktails, consider blueberry rickety eyeball punch, mar-gore-rita’s and black widow martini’s.
