Farms, barns and gardens provide spaces that can create some of the most unique and beautiful wedding venues and the Indianapolis area is home to quite a few of these venues. To help you find the perfect farm, barn or garden for your own wedding, Snappening has some of our favorites in the spotlight on today’s blog.
Being located on a farm, featuring a barn and garden area, Traders Point Creamery is a triple threat in the wedding venue department. It is a family-owned artisan dairy farm located in Zionsville, Ind. There is seating available for up to 200 guests on the outdoor deck and patio area that is surrounded by expansive gardens, lawns and verdant pastures. The Red Barn is also available for a variety of events. The rustic space can accommodate 300-400 guests depending on the setup of the wedding, and its wooden elements and natural light create a one-of-a-kind environment.
This unique barn is one of the newest wedding venue options located in Avon, Ind. Now operated by Jonathan Byrd Catering, the six-acre wedding venue offers an outdoor private option, Avon Wedding Barn, and an indoor option, the handcrafted Amish Barn. Each space provides brides the opportunity to add their own touch of personality to the venue to ensure it is a truly unique experience at each and every wedding.
This historical farm in southeastern Marion County dates back to 1876 and is also operated by Jonathan Byrd Catering. It offers a main floor that is approximately 3,000 square feet and two lofts that total about 1,500 square feet. Barn Swallow can host up to 200 people and there is also parking available onsite. It’s a great wedding venue for the bride looking for a historical space or to combine historical elements with modern décor.
Owned and operated by Butler University, the Holcomb Gardens set alongside the Central Canal between Broad Ripple Village and the Indianapolis Museum of Art. It offers 20 acres of gardens that are open year-round. Also, you may choose to use an indoor or outdoor location at Butler University for your ceremony or reception that can accommodate up to 240 guests.
Another beautiful venue in Avon, Ind., Avon Gardens offers space for the ceremony and reception as well as the option of a daytime or nighttime wedding. At the ceremony area, brides can choose between a decorated arbor or a natural setting underneath a maple tree. Guests will be able to walk through the garden on their path to the reception, where they can see three waterfalls with ponds and beds filled with perennials and other flowers. For a nighttime wedding, Avon Gardens offers to light 400 candles along with other lighting scattered throughout the gardens. The space can accommodate up to 250 guests.
As you can see, there are quite a few incredible farmbarn and garden options available to you for use as your wedding venue and this isn’t even the complete list.
