The back-to-school deals are out and the heat wave seems to have passed… is it really August already? Summer’s end is in sight, Snappeners—but don’t let the change in season dampen your event planning gusto! Snappening has plenty of new options for your upcoming fall events. These few up-and-coming Indianapolis event venues are all about fantastic food, modern décor and a warm, ‘urban chic’ feel:
Sensu: Seeking an event venue space that combines decadent cuisine with that exciting ‘night on the town’ feel? Check out Sensu, downtown’s sleek new sushi restaurant and nightclub on Meridian Street. To sum up its effortlessly hip vibe, one word covers it all: fusion. From the indulgent Asian-fusion menu to the two-story restaurant and nightclub combination, this event venue is all about a new experience to be shared with friends. The upscale dining area and fresh sushi bar on the top floor are complemented, but never distracted, by the dance floor and nightclub downstairs. And for those seeking a more intimate setting, the venue’s private candle lit dining area makes for a memorable small group gathering or romantic dinner for two. Guests at your next business meeting, birthday dinner or reception will relish this vibrant new dining and dancing option.
Black Market: When seasoned restaurant owners Ed Rudisell and Micah Frank joined forces to open a downtown gastropub, they envisioned an event venue with an atmosphere as memorable as its menu. Black Market – an upscale bar and new Indy hub for all-American comfort food – soon entered the “Mass Ave” dining scene. Located in an old industrial building on the far East End, the event and restaurant venue stays true to its rugged roots with custom-milled communal tables, rough timber beams and dim accent lights—the well-stocked bar being a main attraction, of course! The Black Market’s top-notch beer and wine selection also includes a New Day Meadery hard cider completely unique to this restaurant and event venue. Guests should come hungry because the Black Market Burger or the Braised Beef and Cheddar sandwich are menu favorites with plenty of Indiana flavor.
Mill Top: Sometimes the best part of a venue is the fascinating story that comes along with it! Mill Top, Noblesville’s contemporary new banquet and conference center, dates back almost 150 years. The commanding brick building was originally The Model Mill, a famed producer of Kismet Flour—a historic element still highlighted in the décor today at this event venue. History truly meets urban chic! Amenities include an on-site spa, bridal suite, ceremony site, reception hall and countless photo opportunities. Many who use this event venue skip too much décor as the space itself is so unique and can be a stunning backdrop for weddings, wedding receptions, corporate parties or other events you have in mind.
