Snappening CEO participates in U.S. Dept. of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program

SAN FRANCISCO (March 9, 2016) – Snappening CEO and founder, Crystal Grave, was selected to participate in today’s Global Ties San Francisco’s International Visitor Leadership Program.

Each year Global Ties San Francisco, a division of the Northern California World Trade Center, hosts over 1,000 international visitors to Northern California. This program facilitates the dynamic exchange of ideas and best practices as well as the establishment of long-term relationships across the globe. The majority of program participants are current or emerging foreign leaders. They are selected to participate in the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP), the premier professional exchange program of the U.S. Department of State and Global Ties U.S.

This impressive group, made up of women entrepreneurs, is visiting cities across the U.S. to explore how organizations empower women-owned businesses and to learn best practices for overcoming the challenges that women face. While in the Bay Area to learn about social entrepreneurship and business incubators, the group met with with women in technology and visited Golden Seeds, Benetech, ShePlusPlus, Snappening and the Plug and Play Technology Center.

The group then visited Sacramento and the Northern California World Trade Center to learn about state and local initiatives and to celebrate International Women’s Day. ‪#‎IWD2016‬ FHI 360 – International Visitor Leadership Program.

The goal of the program is to foster the discussion and exchange of cutting-edge information between American professionals and international experts and emerging global leaders, helping to encourage communication and cooperation between nations. Each international attendee was specially selected by the U.S. embassy in their country to participate in the conference after having been nominated as an emerging leader in their field.

Ms. Grave expressed her excitement at attending the conference, describing the other attendees as “…Change makers and courageous pioneers, poised to make a significant and positive long term impact on the people living in their countries.”
